Good Advice For You While Protesting

The Camera Lens
Be it video or photo, it is for your lawful expression and is your porthole to the eyes of the wider world looking in. If you want to get your message out, you need the eyes of the world to look in upon what you have to say and do. It is in your interest to respect the fact that what they see is a reflection upon what you do. Respect the camera and exercise your legal rights of lawful expression for free speech and lawful free will. As soon as you abuse the camera lens, the whole world will see your very abuse before them. Take advantage of the wider world looking for it is this very reason why you demonstrate. A smile for the camera is always better than two fingers and abuse.
It is your responsibility for your own lawful and peaceful demonstration activity.

Dudley April 3rd 2010

Recording took place and my camera was met with hostility from both the UAF and the EDL. Mostly the day went well from what I encountered on the day. Problems on both sides occurred but more prevailing from the latter endings from the EDL camp.

My initial reaction to those documented causing problems were of utter disgrace to basic human nature and of certain individuals to act as judge and jury from both the UAF and the EDL camps is not the way forward. I am sure that the people documented on camera do not represent the true causes of their actual concerns regarding their own organizations they claim to represent. In due course the people who I am talking about will be made available to be shown in their actions so you, as and for the people you claim to represent, know who they are, so you can then make your own informed judgment.
There is a lawful way of conduct neither you nor I are above the law.
If you do not want to be filmed in a public place just put up your hand in front of the camera and any decent camera man will then back off now knowing not to infringe upon your request not to be filmed. Some people want to be filmed and some don't. Communication is all that is required, its human nature. There are ways of doing things and it first starts with education. Some people need to be educated in their basic human conduct and if you represent an organization in the form of leadership, no matter who you are you, have to be aware of the behavior in the presence of your organized protests.

It is unlawful to touch any person or those people’s belongings against their will. Once you cross that line you deserve equally the lawful consequences applicable by law. If your actions represent this description, you are not judge and jury and are not above the law, you are a bully.
The viewer can decide what is right or wrong, lawful or not.
Both the UAF and the EDL will be made aware of this footage for them to either have their say or to disregard it as a matter for their own concerns or not. I am not looking for responses at this stage; they will also be offered for comment in due course...

Bolton Public Filming March 20th 2010

Incidents mainly surrounding the UAF were video captured for reference to the way that the Police and Unite Against Fascism activists conducted themselves during the UAF & EDL demonstration. Many arrests were caught on camera and one man in particular ended up with a bloody face due to his arrest. At one point three loud bangs were caught on camera followed by smoke bombs prior to the arrival of the main English Defence League activists. These were among some of the first problems now developing amongst the UAF activists prior to the arrest of both Weyman Bennet and Martin Smith. Police dogs and police riot squads were on hand to keep the UAF activists at bay.

After the arrival of the main EDL activists, chants and the exchangement of words from across Victoria Square eventually lead to missiles and objects of various possessions at hand to be eventually exchanged from each of the two protesting groups before police riot squads moved the EDL activist further back out of the square in order to remove the situation of missiles being thrown. The information is represented by video evidence recorded on the day.

About 20 seconds later, two different police officers confronted the activist and took his English flag away from him. The way the police handled this one particular activist has raised a serious question for concern for the police to answer for because of the way which appears to be by the way it was recorded, an illegal confiscation by the police.

A small isolated incident where a small group of what appeared to be Muslim were walking by the Tate building where the English Defence League were congregating when chants and words exchanged between them and some of the English Defence League activists.
